D2 Commerce OS runs at yourshop.shop.d2c.in on the Free plan with unlimited products and orders, 0% commission, payments through your own Razorpay, Cashfree or Paytm account, cash on delivery, Shiprocket shipping and GST invoices. The limits on most other free plans are a product cap, a fee on every sale, or no cash on delivery. Check all three before you build.
Shopify in India gives 3 days free, then ₹20 a month for three months, then from ₹1,499 a month on yearly billing as listed in October 2026, plus apps and a 2% fee on payments through Indian gateways on the Basic plan. A trial is fine for testing, but budget for the real plan from month four.
WooCommerce and OpenCart cost nothing to download. You pay for hosting, a theme, plugins for COD, shipping and GST invoices, and for the developer who keeps it updated. This route suits sellers who already have a WordPress site and a developer. It is rarely the cheapest for a first store.
